Leavers Lace
Named after the looms that are used to create it, this incredibly fine and intricately patterned lace is the world’s most precious and treasured. Thanks to its high thread count it’s also surprisingly durable, giving it a blend of beauty and function that makes it perfect to be a La Perla signature.
Chantilly Lace
This exquisite scallop-edged lace, woven through with floral and botanical patterns, dates all the way back to 17th century France so it’s rich in tradition and brings luxury and sophistication to La Perla’s modern pieces.
Valenciennes Lace
A centuries-old French lace usually conjured from cotton or linen, it’s unique thanks to the signature flat, smooth pattern set against an open diamond mesh background that makes it a more fluid alternative to tulle.
Soutache
A technique that draws upon the skills of our most experienced artisans, it uses ribbons of silk or lycra that are lovingly and meticulously stitched into beautiful patterns to elevate our most sophisticated lingerie and swimwear.
Frastaglio
A Florentine fretwork technique that has been used for centuries, the heart of our Maison collection and a true La Perla signature. Crafted entirely by hand, our artisans trim swirling embroidery onto tulle and then meticulously stich it onto silk.
Macrame
An exquisite embroidery technique created by Arabian weavers in the 13th century, it’s constructed by cleverly knotting threads together into romantic shapes that offer daring glimpses of what lies beneath.
